POC Wheels Receptor Backcountry Helmets Targeted towards advanced free skiers riding in exposed environments, this helmet is a highly developed version of the proven Receptor construction. By incorporating MIPS technology, the helmet will absorb not only the vertical part of impacts, but also the rotational violence which is a serious concern in the case of an oblique impact. This breakthrough patented technology allows the liner and outer shell to rotate in relation to each other, reducing the stress on the brain and ultimately resulting in a safer helmet than ever before. Receptor MIPS is also equipped with Recco avalanche rescue system.
